Procopé & Hornborg advised Ensto Oy on its acquisition of the majority of shares in Arcteq Relays Oy. Arcteq Relays designs, manufactures and sells protection relays, arc flash protection systems and measuring and monitoring equipment for electrical utility. Arcteq’s products are crucial in controlling reliability of electricity networks. In 2020 the company had a turnover of EUR 6.3 million and its products were used on all continents.
The acquisition is in line with Ensto’s strategy of providing complete solutions for customers and being a leading expert for Distribution Systems Operators DSOs. Ensto is a Finnish company that designs and provides smart electrical solutions to improve the safety, functionality, reliability and efficiency of smart grids, buildings and transportation. Ensto employs around 850 professionals in Europe and Asia. In 2019, Ensto generated a turnover of EUR 260 million.
