Happy International Women’s Day from Procopé & Hornborg!

Today, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, it is inspiring to see the increasing opportunities for women to attain leadership positions, at least in Finland. This progress is a testament to the tireless efforts of countless individuals and organizations striving for gender equality.

UN Women highlights the importance of prioritizing women’s rights, noting that it not only fosters equality but also leads to stronger, more resilient societies and economies. In today’s world, numerous crises place immense pressure on communities, and that’s why achieving gender equality is more important than ever.

For us, diversity, equity, and inclusion have always been a top priority. As a token of this it can be mentioned that a remarkable 71% of our partners, including our Managing Partner, are female. Our leadership mirrors the gender representation of young lawyers and recent law school graduates in Finland, with the majority being female.

While significant improvements have been made, there is still work to be done. International Women’s Day serves as a great reminder of the ongoing journey towards full gender equality. Let’s continue to push for progress, ensuring that every individual, regardless of gender, has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
