Procopé & Hornborg advised Axel Johnson International AB on its acquisition of Ab Transcomponent Finland Ltd. TransComponent is a family business founded in 1996 and located in Närpes in the Swedish-speaking part of Österbotten in Finland. The company with its 20 employees, manufactures and sells boxes for trucks and trailers. TransComponent has a long history and experience in the industry starting as a branch within BotniaTerm that has been manufacturing boxes since the 80s. The primary customers are bodybuilders in Finland and Sweden, the main products are toolboxes and spare-tyre boxes sold under the BT brand. The acquisition strengthens Axel Johnson International’s position and offering for heavy vehicles in the Nordic market.
