Procopé & Hornborg acted as the Legal Advisor to Etteplan Oyj in its acquisition of Syncore Technologies Ab and related directed share issue. Syncore Technologies is a Swedish technology services company which specializes in embedded systems projects such as design, hardware, and software development. The company was founded in 2000, and its customer base is mainly in the industrial systems, aerospace and defense industries.
The acquisition supports both the company’s and Etteplan’s growth strategy as it increases their international presence and strengthen their project business expertise in embedded systems. The acquisition gives Etteplan ability to deliver embedded solutions and software in Sweden.
Etteplan is a Finnish public company providing solutions for industrial equipment and plant engineering, software and embedded solutions, and technical documentation solutions to the world’s leading companies in the manufacturing industry. After the acquisition, Etteplan employs around 800 specialists in embedded systems and software development. In total Etteplan has over 3 800 employees in seven different countries. Etteplan is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki, and it had a turnover of approximately EUR 260 million in 2020.
